About
Founded in 2025, The Long Knuckle is a brain dumpster fire of niche insights, cultural musings, and prickly humor.
Mission
We aim to explore, question, muse, educate, and provide levity to all readers. In doing so, we hope to articulate fresh perspectives, uncover weird corners of culture, and share a laugh at the world around us.
Vision
The Long Knuckle is interested in journalism that digs deeper, takes risks, and reads between the lines. In a sense, we're a response to the existing state of lazy, cheap-shot, low-hanging-fruit "journalism" that masquerades as "news" by corporate shills.
The Long Knuckle is here for the long run and, as such, looks for slow, consistent growth over moonshots. Some companies garner success through significant marketing, but our belief is that a great product sells itself. As such, our focus will always be content first.
We want to share high quality work with both transparency and a strong signal-to-noise ratio in mind. To ensure this, we will abide by the following:
- No comment sections
- No AI-generated content
- No ads, endorsements, or sponsorships
- Only content-generated income (i.e., deriving from user subscriptions, print anthologies, and the like. We will not generate income by selling merch, charging submitting writers a reading fee, launching meme coins, etc.)
Values
- Be Honest
- Do What's Right
- Never Be Bound by Convention
